Berekum Arsenals warn television crew off Golden City Park

By Ameenu Shardow

Berekum Arsenals President Yakubu Moro insists the television crew will not be allowed into the Golden City Park to cover their next game against Wassaman United.

Arsenals are just one point above the relegation zone with two rounds of matches left to go in the Ghanaian top flight.

And Moro who feels his side is not being treated fairly in terms of television coverage as compared to fellow strugglers; Mighty Jets, Wassaman and Bechem United says he has had enough and will from now prevent television coverage of his games.

“Mighty Jets, Wassmana United, Bechem United are not getting television coverage of their home matches,” he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.

“In this second round we have not had any coverage on our away games but they are coming to cover the second game in Berekum, do they want to cheat us?

“The teams are at the bottom are not getting television coverage except for Arsenals and we will not allow it.

“I advice them (TV crew) not to come to Berekum because they will be stopped because I can see we are being cheated.”

Arsenals’ last home loss to Ebusua Dwarfs at the Golden City Park was televised.

  7. KT says:

I’m listening to Yakubu Moro on radio, and he is not making sense at all. He should no that in each case, all the 16 clubs took the decision and as a human endeavour, fairness can’t be guaranteed to all. Just because he knows he is losing, he wants to be smart. To hell with you Alhaji. You are drawing us back. Is this how you intend to impress Emirates and Arsenal to partner you? Nonsense.

  8. fred says:

i can smell something fishy, he wants to molest the away team and as such doesn’t the match to be telecast live for everyone to see.
