Berekum Arsenal fined US$ 1,500 for misconduct

Berekum Arsenal have been fined US$ (1,500) GH¢3,000 after being found guilty of misconduct during their League match against Real Tamale United on 24 October.

The Club, Berekum Arsenal pleaded guilty to the charge by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association for the actions of their supporters towards the match officials during recess of their match.

Arsenal’s supporters accosted the match officials on the way to the dressing room and in the process, one of them[supporters] hit the hand of Assistant Referee 1, Frank Bossman.

FINDINGS

The Committee duly finds Berekum Arsenal FC guilty as charged as per GFA Regulation 35(4), Clubs are held responsible for the misconduct of their supporters.

DECISION:

Berekum Arsenal FC is fined GH¢3,000.00 as per GFA Regulation 39(7)(a).

JUST GO AFTER THE SUPPORTER, AND CHARGE HIM WITH ASSULT. HAVE HIM DO A 3MTH JAIL TERM OR DO COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK, PLUS A FINE. WHY MUST U FINE THE CLUB? GFA, STOP PUNISHING CLUBS FOR YOUR STUPIDITY
