Berekum Arsenal fans are refusing to be threatened by warnings issued by Hearts of Oak fans not to attend their weekend Ghana Premier League tie in Accra.
Hearts fans have publicly threatened to brutally assault Arsenal fans in retaliation after they claimed the Gunners fans attacked their Phobian counterparts during their week 13 clash at the Golden City Park in Berekum on ‘Boxing Day’.
Hearts captain Mahatma Otoo who was voted man of the match had his award robbed by the home fans while Hearts supporters chief ‘Ali Phobia’ also made claims he suffered assaults at the hands of fans.
The Phobian fans are prepared to retaliate and have officially warned Arsenal fans on several radio sports shows not to travel to Accra for the game.
But Arsenal PRO Evans Osei Agyemang insists fans will travel to Accra for the game though they had not been embarking on long trips in the past.
“We will attend the game and Hearts fans cannot do anything because we didn’t do anything wrong to them when they came to Berekum,” he told Accra-based Peace FM.
