Posted On Wednesday, 7th November 2012

Asamoah Gyan will the international friendly against Cape Verde next week

By Patrick Akoto

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan will miss next week’s international friendly against Cape Verde due to the untimely death of his mother.

The unfortunate incident occurred at the Ghana National Association Teachers in Accra where Mrs Cecilia Love Mensah Gyan had gone to discuss her pension fund.

The 60-year-old drove her car into a pillar at the GNAT hall after she lost control of the steering wheel.

She was rushed to the Ridge hospital but was later pronounced death.

The news has come as a huge shock to the Black Stars skipper and many Ghanaians as well as the football world.

Gyan will withdraw from the friendly against Cape Verde in Lisbon, Portugal  to attend to the pressing family disaster.

Strikers Kofi Nti Boakye, Yakubu Mohammed and Emmanuel Clottey are being considered as his replacement.

Gyan is expected to arrive in the country on Friday to promote his boxing syndicate which will have George Ashie and Emmanuel Tagoe battling it out for the WBA International Lightweight title on Saturday.

Gyan my sincere condolence to you and your family.

With all the money you are making in UAE why is your 60 year old mother driving herself? Why is she not in a chauffeur driven car? Why is she at GNAT worried about her pension? Shouldn’t you have enough money set aside for your old lady? You are a single man making millions, why?

No worries bro I am sure Ghanaians will come out to support you in your time of grief.

WARNING MR EDITOR AND FORUMITES: Watch out for a Faggot who calls himself KOJO MOSCOW. He has been banned by Ghanaweb forumists because he doesn’t contribute anything sensible. All he does is attack other forumites who make sensible contributions and also attack Asamoah Gyan abusing and insulting him with every opportunity. It is generally know at Ghanaweb that this Faggot Kojo Moscow is a Heroine addict. So let’s drive him back to Ghanaweb where he belongs by making his presence here unbearable We grief with Asamoah. But as some one smart guy pointed out, this gives other untried players like Majeed Waris the opportunity to prove himself. I believe he will do well in spite by the attempts of the Heroine addict Kojo Moscow to undermine him.
