Bechem United have threatened to boycott the Premier League over what they believe is ‘unfair’ treatment by the Ghana FA.

The club had been originally slapped with a one-match home ban by the Ghana FA’s Disciplinary Committee.

This meant their Premier League match against relegation-threatened Aduana Stars was to be played away from their home venue, the Nana Gyeabour Park.

This decision was however reversed after the club filed an appeal and a stay-of-execution of the DC’s ruling.

Bechem were therefore to play the Aduana game at home on Thursday pending the hearing of their appeal.

The Ghana FA however indefinitely postponed the match against Aduana on Wednesday and later on dismissed Bechem’s application for a stay-of-execution.

The club now say they will boycott league over the unfair handling of the case by the Ghana FA.

“We suspect that the Ghana FA want to hand us a raw deal,” Bechem United chief executive officer Kingsley Osei Bonsu told Metro FM.

“They [Ghana FA] can hand the points to Aduana since that is what they want to do anyway.

“We will no longer play in the Premier League.”
