Bawumia?s Diagnosis Can Help NDC Solve Economic Crisis - Osafo Maafo

A former Finance Minister under the Kufuor-led administration, Yaw Osafo Maafo, has said the current state of the nation?s economy is a clear indication of the ruling NDC?s ignorance of the basics of the functioning economy.

Speaking in an interview with Citi News, the former Finance Minister said the onus lies on the Mills-led administration to correct the anomalies in the nation?s economy.

?Dr. Bawumia has made a very important statement and it is that you do not run an economy with propaganda,? he said.

?If indeed the inflation is coming down, it should reflect on the interest rates and currency stability,? Mr. Maafo said.

Mr. Maafo said Dr. Bawumia?s lecture themed: ?The State of the Economy,? will be more beneficial to the ruling NDC government in solving the nation?s problems.
