Barcelona challenge Real Madrid for Chelsea defender Ivanovic

Barcelona have joined Real Madrid interest for Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The Daily Mail says Real Madrid were willing to spend £15million on the Serbia international and he confirmed the Spanish champions’ interest on Sunday.

However, Real’s fierce La Liga rivals Barcelona have also stepped in as they search for defensive reinforcements, with prime target Thiago Silva looking likely to stay in Italy with AC Milan.
