Emmanuel Baffour to join Black Stars preparations on Wednesday

By Ameenu Shardow

Ghana Premier League’s leading scorer Emmanuel Baffour is expected back from Europe on Tuesday night to join the Black Stars fold.

The New Edubiase striker has been in Turkey for the past week where he is reported to have undergone successful medicals with Antalyspor.

The 23-year-old who has scored 21 goals in 25 games this term will thus join the Black Stars preparations towards the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday morning after missing two days of training.

The Black Stars have been training at the Accra Sports since Monday and will fly out to Kumasi on Sunday to begin the residential phase of preparations after the 30-man squad is pruned down.

Ghana hosts Lesotho on June 1 after which they travel to Lusaka to face African champions Zambia on June 9.

Just to send a note of caution to Appiah to plan meticulousely on beating Zambia away because his future hangs on the outcome of that match; meaning, pressure will mount if we lose that match.
