Ex Ghana striker Baffour Gyan has shaved off his dreadlocks in memory of his departed mother.
The 32-year-old has been wearing the dread for well over a decade but decided to let it go for the burial of his deceased mother this weekend.
Madam Cecelia Love Amoako, mother of Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan died last November in a car crash in Accra before her 61st birthday.
She will be buried in her hometown of Mamponteng on Saturday.
Madam Amoako is succeeded by a husband and four children – two of whom played at international level or the Black Stars.

GSN, is it succeeded or survived? @POW@Keep Akwasi Appiah.com/gfa, it is no madness wearing locks. some people choose to grow their hair some choose to cut it. if someone decides to grow his hair, we shouldn’t call that names just because we don’t like it.
