Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has lauded Sulley Muntari’s leadership qualities after Friday’s 7-0 mammoth win over Lesotho in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Muntari, in the absence of John Mensah, skippered a newly-look Black Stars who began their quest for a third successive World Cup finals appearance in devastating fashion.
The 27-year-old led by example by scoring the opener and also set up Adiyiah’s brace before being replaced by debutant Christian Atsu.
Agyemang-Badu-who plays for Italian Serie A outfit Udinese-described the AC Milan enforcer as a fantastic player.
“He is a fantastic player and he also exhibited good leadership qualities in the game,” Agyemang-Badu told MTNFootball.com
“I’m proud to play with him. He gave us support and encouragement through the game.”
Ghana’s squad will fly out to South Africa on Saturday to continue preparations for the June 9 showdown with Zambia in Lusaka.

Can we say Badu is an inspirer or just talking talking now a days ?
lol…he has been talking a lot these days
I am not comfortable with Badu and Boateng recently becoming the spokespersons for the Black Stars. Even the captain, Muntari, doesn’t talk so much.
This two boys are talking too much here there
it is the media and ghanasoccernet fault.
badu talks once and our jounalist try to make stories from his talks.
A. Badu pls shut up a bit and concentrate on ur football.U like talking too much.
Modern football won’t be embraced if communication and social media are absent. However, I agree with most of you guys that it should be done with moderation. Agyeman Badu and Derek should tone down their PR responsibilities since the GFA has a substantive PR representative by name Sannie. Too much public utterances accounted for Asamoah Gyan’s demise and that should serve as a warning to these talking duo. I hope these enterprising duo of Agyeman Badu and Derek are aware of the vociferous Ghanaian Soccer “Pharisees” who are programmed with the “what have you done for me lately” syndrome! The next game against the African champions Zambia is the “Real Deal” and must be approached with all seriousness. Good luck and a job well done to Coaches Appiah & Max Konadu, technical bench and the entire Black Stars squad. Guys, you can count on our unflinching support as long as you keep delivering.Keep up the good work!!!
Badu, can you just shut the fuck up? You’ve been talking too much of late.
THE MEDIA SHOULD TALK TO THE COACH, THEN THE CAPTAIN. UNLESS THERE IS A PRESS CONFERENCE, NO ONE ELSE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO TALK TO THE MEDIA. THOSE WHO CANT PLAY, TALK THE MOST
