In-form Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman has revealed that playing at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey played a key role in his career rise.
The left-back was pivotal for the Black Satellites which finished third in Turkey and was one of the tournamentââ¬â¢s key players, according to the Technical Study Group.
Rahmanââ¬â¢s tackling abilities, technique and attacking drive made him exceptional and head and shoulders above his competitors.
The Augsburg man remembers the tournament fondly and regards it as ââ¬Åextremely importantâ⬠for his personal development.
ââ¬ÅA World Cup is always something very special. Whatââ¬â¢s more, I played regularly at the tournament and had an international opportunity to demonstrate that Iââ¬â¢m a good footballer," he told FIFA.com
