Andre Ayew is hoping his Olympique Marseille side can use their youth effectively to sail through the group of death in the UEFA Champions League.
The French giants are drawn alongside Arsenal, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund in Group F – described by many as the group of death.
Marseille open their European campaign at home on Wednesday night against English giants Arsenal – knowing a win will be extremely key to their bid of surviving the tough group.
The daunting prospect is not lost on Marseille’s talismanic Ghanaian who hopes to help his young side clinch another massive achievement of progress from this group.
“We want to make history in this group. We are in a very difficult group; Arsenal, Napoli and Dortmund are powerhouses when it comes to the UEFA Champions League, so it will be very difficult for a team like Marseille,” he said.
“We want to do our outmost best to qualify to the knockout stage of the Champions league, and with the right attitude and self believe we can sail through to the knockout phase.
“We have a young squad hungry for success and that is what will drive us to achieve that.”
