Ayew brothers in contention for Marseille player of the month award

Andre and Jordan Ayew have been nominated for Marseille's player of the month of January award

Andre and Jordan Ayew have been shortlisted for Olympique Marseille’s player of the month of January award.

The brothers are being charged by French international striker Andre-Pierre Gignac for the coveted monthly award.

Jordan netted thrice in four games for Les Olympians while Andre Ayew scored twice in same number of games but provided two assists.

While Marseille’s leading scorer this season Gignac found the back of the net three time and also provided two assists.

Jordan is gunning for his second player of the month award this season after claiming the accolade in the month of December.

However, Gignac who has been in sensational form for Elie Baup’s side is posing a real treat to his chances of winning.
