Andre Ayew will contest the Most Outstanding Player award in the Black Stars division at the maiden National Player Awards in June.

The Olympique Marseille midfielder is being challenged by goalkeeper Richard Kingson and Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan for the accolade.

The awards scheme being organized by Proton Sports Services and in conjunction with the Ghana FA and the Retired Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) is to recognize the immense contributions made by individuals who have played for the various national teams.

A seven-member panel headed by former Ghana FA boss Ben Kuofi will determine the winners of the various categories to be revealed at a grand event on June 22 at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.
