Rashid Sumaila
Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila left the Black Stars camp in Abu Dhabi on Monday to rejoin his club Asante Kotoko.
The centre-back was part of the preliminary 26-man squad named by coach Kwesi Appiah for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
But he was not part of the final 23-man squad named by the coach for the tournament in South Africa.
Despite being left out of the final squad, Sumaila stayed with the team and trained diligently.
With the Black Stars set to leave the UAE on Wednesday for South Africa, Sumaila has now been allowed to join his club in Ghana.
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has hailed Sumaila’s commitment to the national team insisting he will continue to monitor the defender for future assignments with the Black Stars.

Ghana will win only 2 games. Oops! maybe those were the friendly matches played. You should all pray that is not the case. Then you will win your first two games. I saw in a vision, Ghana won first 2 games.
Ghana supporters are ungrateful. See how they treat their players when they are injured and cant play. You forget all the sacrifices they gave before. Ungrateful people. You will not win this cup. 4get about it. It is so obvious all the 3 Ayews are qualified but due to ungrateful haters…. Only two matches. Mark my words..,.,
Wonderful Kwame, Shut the fuck up and take your nonsense elsewhere. Stop talking as if you were raised by chimps. You are so stupid.
