Ghana national women’s coach Yussif Basigi claims Avram Grant will take to his heels within one week of being put in charge of the Black Queens.

Basigi made this comment to buttress the difficulty in handling a female team.

The Black Queens have a task ahead in securing qualification to the 2015 All Africa Games following a narrow 2-1 win over Zimbabwe in Accra in the first leg qualifier.

The team is now in camp preparing for the return leg away from home.

But Yussif Basigi believes his ability to competently manage a female puts him streets ahead of Black Stars coach Avram Grant.

“It is easier coaching a male side having coached a female team,” he told Skyy Power FM.

“If you give the [Black] Queens to Avram Grant for one week he will run away.

“It’s not the technical aspect or the technique and tactics. It is what it takes to coach them [female team].

“The ingredients involved to coach a female team will overwhelm him [Avram Grant].”

Yussif Basigi is also the coach of Ghana Premier League club Sekondi Hassacas.
