Avram Grant supervises first Black Stars training ahead of AFCON

Avram Grant took charge of his first Black Stars training session on Friday ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Chelsea boss was officially introduced to the team by Ghana FA Vice President Fred Crentsil before the start of the session at the Lizzy Sports Complex.

Twenty-three players took part in the first official training session of the team ahead of the 2015 AFCON.

England-based striker Kwesi Appiah trained for the first time ever with the Ghana national team having arrived in the country on Thursday night.

Samuel Inkoom, Jordan Ayew, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Baba Abdul Rahman, Harrison Afful and Afriyie Acquah also trained with the team for the first time since the non-residential preparations commenced on New Year's Eve.

Mahatma Otoo continues to train with the side despite no official statement on his reported late call up.

The team will continue with their non-residential preparations until Sunday when they travel to Spain for their pre-tournament camp.
