Black Stars coach Avram Grant arrived in Italy on Sunday to meet suspended trio Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Chelsea manager will meet the AC Milan duo who were in action yesterday in the 2-0 win over Napoli in the Serie A.

Grant will introduce himself to the players as he has taken charge of the Black Stars and ready to guide the team at the upcoming tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

The two senior players are serving suspensions from the Ghana Football who has said insisted they will be re-admitted if they publicly render an apology and show remorse.

Muntari was thrown out of Ghana’s camp at the 2014 FIFA World Cup for his violent behaviour where he attacked and punched a Ghana FA official.

Essien refused to warm-up before the Black Stars played Portugal in the final Group G match in Brasilia.

His conduct was referred to the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee for punishment and has since not been invited to the national team.
