GHANASoccernet.com understands lower division referee Kyei Andoh died from natural causes, according to the autopsy report.

The 21-year-old referee died few days after suffering severe battering at the hand of eye red fans during a third division game in the western region.

The Ghana Football Association ordered for an autopsy report before any action could be taken since Kyei did not die on the spot.

But after weeks of detailed scrutiny, pathologist Osei Sampane of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital,  has revealed that the young match official died a natural death.

"From the autopsy report I have with me, the young man died a natural death," Sampane told Sports Journalist Jerry Kwame Ayensu, who has launched an online campaign to eliminate violence in our stadia.

The Ghana Football Association has said it will take up the funeral expenses of the young referee.
