New Edubiase midfielder Asiedu Attorbrah is proud to have captained the side despite their 2-1 loss to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
The 17-year-old is one of the reasons behind the Berkwai-based side's impressive campaign this term in the Ghanaian topflight.
In sixth place with 36 points, Edubiase are just four points adrift second position and are still with a mathematical chance of toppling Asante Kotoko to win the league title though highly unlikely.
But the weekend's loss to the defending champions somewhat dented their top four aspirations but the impressive Attobrah says the result was harsh on his side in his first game as captain.
“It was an unfair result for us,†said the stand-in captain.
“We had a man sent-off and also a goal disallowed, but that is life.
“I am so proud of taking the captaincy, even just for this short time. I thank God for the opportunity and it has come at the end of a good period for me.â€
The pacy midfielder's surge in form has not gone unnoticed. He is definitely going to be one of the subjects of transfer speculations in the off-season and was again crucial in Eduniase's win over Dwarfs in the week 23 fixture by grabbing two assists.
He hopes to continue in the same vein in helping his side achieve their highest finish ever in the Ghanaian topflight.
“I am pleased with my performances and hope to keep them going. The key thing is now to finish the season strongly, to do justice to our talents.â€
