Christian Atsu has been voted the Orange man-of-the-match in Ghana’s 3-0 win over Niger in their final group game on Monday night.

The Porto wunderkind, who replaced suspended Mubarak Wakaso was phenomenal in the 3-0 drubbing over the Menas.

He scored his debut Nations Cup goal after his intelligent lob beat goalkeeper Daouda Kassaly for the second in the 23rd minute.

He was picked ahead of his colleagues by the CAF Technical Study Group which assesses the performance of players in the continental showpiece.

He becomes the second Ghanaian player to have picked the individual accolade after Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was voted man of the match in the country’s opening two games in Port Elizabeth.
