Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simone has told Ghanaian youth international Ishmael Antwi to start training with his first team squad, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Simone has watched the 21-year-old in action for Atletico Madrid II and wants to further assess his qualities while he trains under his guise with the first team squad.

"I'll train with the first team squad after the 30th of December and I'm very determined to impress the manager and I know surely I'm going to play for the first team before the end of the season," Antwi told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Antwi has appeared in more than 15 games for Atletico Madrid II in the Segunda B and is eager to impress with the first team.

The winger becomes the third player to get drafted into the Atletico Madrid first team squad in just under two seasons after Thomas Partey and Isaac Nana Asare.
