Aston Villa reignite interest in Dnipro's Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng

Posted On Wednesday, 5th December 2012

Boateng could end up at the Villa Park

English Premier League side Aston Villa are preparing to table a new offer to sign Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng from Ukrainian side FC Dnipro.

Villa had their offer for the former Getafe midfielder turned down in May last year and watched with keen interest as Boateng’s proposed move to Fulham collapsed on the transfer deadline.

Villa boss Paul Lambert sent scouts to watch the versatile midfielder excelled for Ghana in an international friendly against Cape Verde last month.

Boateng has featured in just two league games for Dnipro this season and would welcome a move away from the Dnipro Arena.
