Asiedu Atobrah has been slapped with an indefinite suspension for going AWOL

New Edubiase captain Asiedu Atobrah has been slapped with an indefinite suspension for going AWOL.

The exciting midfielder left the club without permission and is yet to report to camp ahead of their return leg of the CAF Champions League against Diables Noir.

Officials have decided to wield the axe to instil discipline in the playing body by slapping him with an indefinite suspension.

““It’s a difficult situation for us but we have decided to place an indefinite suspension on Asiedu Atobrah,” president Abdul Salam Yakubu told Happy FM

“We know he’s an important player for us but we can do without him.

‘The right thing must be done. He left camp without any permission and he since not returned.

“It’s important we instil discipline in the players and it must begin with slapping a suspension on him to serve as a deterrent to others.

“We just don’t understand what has happened to him.”

Atobrah has been one of Edubiase’s influential players and will miss the return leg of Africa’s second rated competition against the Congolese this weekend.
