Striker Ashittey Ollenu is puzzled by his exclusion from the Ghana U20 team for the African Youth Championships.
The Hearts of Oak player was left out of the final Black Satellites squad for the tournament that kicks off this weekend in Algeria.
Ollenu didn’t even join the team for their pre-tournament camping in Italy and Spain.
The player now appears confused by his exclusion – saying he is still expecting to join the side for the championships.
“I was told there were some problems with securing my visa for the training tour,” he said.
“I was then assured I will join the team in Algeria and so I am waiting for the call.”
Ollenu however says he is over the disappointment over being dropped and will pray for the team to progress.
“If I ma not picked its ok. I will pray for the team to succeed in the tournament.”
I guess Sellas Tetteh saw how indiscipline a player thou art. That’s why you’ve been dropped. Stop looking for you’re not going to be part of the team. Stay focused with Phobia and better luck next time. After ll you’re more than 20.
So why cant they tell him the truth , than to play games with this boy and later drop him, Oh Ghana the truth shall set us free. He is human and is painful from a soccer player point of view.
He is over 20 yrs agreed. But tell me a player who is less 20 yrs in this squard.
He’s not good enough period!
The boy is not good and over age more dan 26 years also disrespect playing 4 hearts de team is nt good and they are in de religation zone.
