AshGold to sign only two players in second transfer window

Published on: 17 December 2012

AshGold are planning to sign two new players as cover for goalkeeper Fatau Dauda and striker Yakubu Mohammed who will be away in January.

Fatau, 27, will be away on international duty with the Black Stars in the 2013 AFCON in January while striker Yakubu Mohammed is set to join a Turkis top flight side.

Financiers AngloGold have told the Miners management they will not release cash for new signings in the second window.

Reaps from the sale of Yakubu Mohammed can afford the Obuase-based side to enter the market for a new goalkeeper and a striker.

Midfielder Alhaji Sannie whose contract has run out will also be offered a new deal.
