AshantiGold showed their dominance over Kotoko in Kumasi

AshantiGold stunned Asante Kotoko with a 2-0 win in a friendly played in Kumasi on Sunday.

Emmanuel Baffour, the 2012 Ghana Premier League Goal King scored from the spot after Abeiku Ainooson had gifted the visitors a 20th minute penalty.

The champions, playing before their home crowd failed to recover from the early setback as the Miners continued to boss the game especially in midfield.

Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani rung changes in the second half in his bid to reclaim the game from the marauding visitors.

But AshGold remained compact and very tactical and in the end got the deserved reward with Joseph Atto Bissah scoring in the 74th minute to secure the win.

The game is intended to keep both teams busy due to the indefinite suspension of the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League season over a court case against the Ghana FA.
