Ashanti Gold experienced goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is confident his side has what it takes to cross the line and win the league despite failing to win a game in their last three outings.

The Miners have seen their comfortable 7 points at the summit of the league table chopped to just 2 with six games to end the season.

Defeats to Lions, Kotoko and a more disappointing drawn game against Edubiase at home has seen the Obuasi based club show signs of letting go their lead at the summit of the table.

But experienced goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says there is a trait of champions which is endurance that will see them through.

“We are leading the league table and it’s only normal that we are the target of most of the teams,” Dauda told Accra based Citi FM

“The Kotoko defeat is very painful but we take it on the chin and we move on with the mentality that has seen us lead the league table.”

“We will show the endurance that comes with champions to win this title.”
