Ashanti Gold defender Tijani Joshua claims his side will take some stopping if they are able to pass the challenge of Champions Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday.

Coach Bashiru Hayford’s men have an opportunity to open a five point gap at the summit of the table with a win against Kotoko on Sunday.

The game is even much more close given both sides have failed to win their last two games.

With Kotoko struggling to finish the season on the high after stop start campaign and AshGold looking to clinching their first league title since 1993.

Joshua says a win will all but secure them that elusive league title.

“Playing against Kotoko anyway is always a big game and tomorrow’s game will not be different,” Joshua told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We have an opportunity to extend our lead at the summit of the league table and that is the most important thing.”

“We know that winning the game tomorrow will put us in a good situation to winning the title and that is the motivation.”

AshGold have 41 points from 23 games and Kotoko having 29 points from the same number of games played.
