AshantiGold chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo has threatened to protest against clubs who field inappropriately registered players in the second half of the season.
Ten Premier League clubs failed to meet the deadline for submission of vital documents for the registration of players in the secondary transfer window.
The Premier League Board has forwarded these cases to the Executive Committee of the Ghana FA for advice as to whether to accept or reject the late submissions.
But Fianoo who is also a member of the Executive Committee says he will kick against any proposals to have late submissions registered and threatened to take legal action against clubs who field such players in the second round of the season.
“I will protest against any side who fields a player who was registered outside the window, period,†he told Metro FM.
“I don’t understand why the authorities will accept documents of clubs after the registration window has expired.
“We need to respect the rules and reject all late registrations.â€
The secondary registration process is opened to clubs four-weeks to the end of the first half of the season to give them the opportunity to bolster their squads.
Club officials however negligently wait until late to begin processing documents towards registration of players.
Many believe late submissions be refused registration to serve as a major deterrent while others argue for hefty fines to save the careers of some players – especially those returning to re-launch their careers in the Ghanaian top flight.
