AshGold beat Sewe Sports to advance in Confed Cup

Ghanaian side AshantiGold secured a 1/16th stage berth of the Caf Confederation Cup after posting a 1-0 win over Sewe Sports at the Len Clay on Sunday.

Aminu Mohammed's 35th minute goal against the run of play dented the hopes of the Ivorian side who put up a spirited performance.

AsGold sealed a 2-0 aggregate win and will Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel with the first leg fixed for 18-20 March.
