Ghanaian side AshantiGold have arrived in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan ahead of Saturday’s Caf Confederation Cup preliminary qualifying round first leg tie.
The team landed at the San Pedro airport in high spirit headed for their hotel after been met on arrival by the Ghana’s Ambassador Lt. Col. Enoch Kwame Tweneboah Donkor.
”We’re glad we’ve arrived safely and we’ve been received warmly by our host and it’s very encouraging to see things seem to be changing in how teams receive host on the continent,” AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo said.
”The hotel is a nice facility and I’m we’re very satisfied with the way we’ve been treated. We’ve just been told we can’t go out at night and so obviously we’ll be restricted to our rooms due to what is happening here which everybody knows.”
New coach Zdravko Logarusic, who joined the club only last week, will need to craft a side capable of garnering a decent result in the first leg tie.
Make GH proud, leave no stone unturned.
