Ashantigold continued their build-up to the upcoming season with a resounding 4-1 victory over a non-league side on Thursday.

Midfielder Aaron Amoah scored his third goal in two matches by fetching the second after Odupong Wellington had given the side a first half lead.

Emmanuel Osei increased the tally to three before Francis Cofie added the fourth.

The Accra-based side reduced the deficit with a late penalty.

Asantigold coach Yaw Acheampong is determined to build a formidable squad that can mount a serious challenge for the Premier League crown.

The Obuasi-based club beat second-tier Future Stars 4-1 on Wednesday at the same venue.
