Ashantigold coach Joachim Yaw Acheampong believes Sunday’s victory over King Faisal will kick-start his outfit’s season.
The miners beat their Ashanti regional rivals 1-0 at the Len Clay stadium to end four consecutive draws in the top flight.
The former Ghana international is confident an improvement has started and will go ahead to shape their season.
“We prepared well for this game and that accounted for the narrow win,” Acheampong said
“We had lots of injuries during pre-season but hopefully the victory over King Faisal will signal our quest to win the league.
“I am confident the players in the treatment room will be in good health by the time we play our next game against Heart of Lions at Kpando.”
