Ashantigold will play two friendly matches this week

By Patrick Akoto

Ashantigold have lined up two friendly matches to assess their new recruits at the Len Clay stadium this week.

The miners will battle second-tier Future Stars on Wednesday before playing Glow Lamp Academy on Thursday.

Head coach Yaw Acheampong will use the two matches to test his new imports ahead of the new soccer season.

The club has acquired strikers Louis Agyemang and Felix Baffoe as well as Berekum Chelsea duo Prince Anokye and Isaac Morgan.

Former Ghana international Jonathan Quartey will also be thrown into the hat in an attempt to monitor his performance.

Ashantigold placed second last season after a riveting second round display.
