Ashantigold interim coach Amoako praises players after Edubiase draw

Ashantigold interim coach Kofi Amoako has praised the efforts of his players after their 1-1 draw at New Edubiase on Saturday.

The Obuasi based-club who have blown hot and cold this season, managed to pick at point at Edubiase in the Ashanti Regional derby on Saturday.

Striker Yakubu Mohammed drilled home his 5th goal of the season for the visitors before substitute Stephen Manu drew level for Edubiase with a well-taken free kick in the second half as the two teams shared the spoils,

Amoako, who took charge of the senior team for the first time following the dismissal of Yaw Acheampong and his assistant Kamara Dini praised the  attitude of his players.

“We’ve been preparing for this game since Tuesday and therefore must commend the players for their efforts,” Amoako said

“We scored the first goal but there was nothing we could do about their equalizer.

“I am satisfied with our performance today and we’ll hope to continue from here.”

Ashantigold will next host in-form Ebusua Dwarfs on Boxing Day.
