Asante Kotoko say returnee Rashid Sumaila did nothing wrong when he trained wearing kits of his former side Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Porcupine Warriors have explained that the centre-back, who drove from Accra to Kumasi last week, had little time to prepare for training after finalizing his season-long loan move.
He quickly changed into what was available in his luggage but that drew a lot of criticisms.
To Kotoko, they see nothing wrong with it despite the continuous media backlash.
“It doesn’t bother us at all, it’s neither here nor there,†acting CEO Opoku Nti said.
“Whatever you do, people will talk about it because this boy was loyal to the club, went out and came back, drove all the way from Accra and when he got to the training grounds, had to change quickly for training so that issue is not relevant.â€
