Ghanaian striker Kenneth Asamoah scored a solitary goal which gave Tanzanian champions Young Africans a crucial 1-0 win over Police Dodoma on Wednesday.
The win helped Yanga to narrow the gap in the Mainland premiership standings.
Asamoah scored the all important winner two minutes to half time when he capitalised on a goal mouth scramble.

The holders have wound up the first half of the season trailing by just a point behind rivals Simba who dropped two precious points following a dramatic 3-3 draw with Moro United at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
By the end of the thirteen round matches, Yanga have attained a 27 pint mark as Simba have one more to lead the half season.
GSN, pls do not soil the quality of your reportage by concentrating on peripheral stories of little substance. Don’t lower your standards
I side with u man. This guy who plays in one of the lowest leagues in Africa seems to get a lot of attention from this medium. why? don’t we have Ghanaians who are plying their trades in more credible leagues who need some form of attention? Eg. where is Ransford Osei? how is he performing? how about Sam Yeboah? how about Eric Bekoe’s injury situation? How far with Ahmed Toure’s naturalisation? Jerry Akaminko? How are Osei Banahene, Obed Owusu, Kabiru Moro, Alex Asamoah, Escoba (Ofosu Appiah) faring with their new clubs? and all other Ghanaian players who have left our shores. These players can also be covered so we know whats happening to them. If GSN decides to concentrate on the Tanzanian league, how about Nafiu Iddrisu and his former teammate who were transferred by Alhaji Grunsah to Tanzania recently? Why always this guy?
Such a humble guy .You have been chosen by God keep shinning as Denizz says Keep it up.It’s not ur fault u getting attention God has spoken and we people frm Tanzania loves you so haters back off.
