Asamoah Gyan celebrates his second goal by talking into the cameras
Asamoah Gyan scored twice for Al Ain who thumped Dibba Al Fujairah 5-1 on the road in the UAE Etisalat Pro League on Sunday.
The Ghana international tops the scorers chart with seven goals from four matches; one more than Al Wasl’s Emiliano Alfaro and Grafite of Al Ahli.
Jires Kembo Ekoko scored the opening goal for Al Ain.
He picked up a through pass before rounding up the Dibba goalkeeper Mohammed Al Rowaihy and then finishing with ease.
Gyan doubled the lead with a spectacular header off a Mohammed Salem cross in the 38th minute.
Brosque added a third two minutes later and Gyan scored his second in the next minute for the defending champions.
Gyan then played an excellent exchange of passes for Brosque to finish off.
Dibba Al Fujairah got a consolation through Brazilian Alex.

Were there no spectators for him to run to to do his dance?? heheheheeeee..empty staduims paaaah….anyways bro, make your money, life is short!!
He wld win the Ballon D’HOR next year. Or may b the FIFA PUSKAS AWARD…n certainly the PUCHICHI gong. All hail the BS captain,
the AFRICAN BEST & Gh finest striker ever! No wonder those pot-bellied official & coaches hav to go soo Low to beg him frm his self-imposed Exile. KEEP IT UP…
WRONG:
Gyan is joint-top scorer in the league with NINE goals in UAE this season!
Check your facts, lazy bones!
BABY JET, KEEP THE GOALS COMING…
@ DON, i admire ur Chinese Mentality. That ‘Life is Short’ Phrase comes out frm the mouth of Loosers who don’t believe much in themselves hence hav to go Low, Cheap & Crappy just to accomplish their dreams. Though they may hav the potential to attain the highest-pinnacle of success, desperation, inferiority complex, Lack of self esteem & Lack of belief in their abilities makes em show contentment at anything as long as they wld have Money.
But its the sports all abt Money? The game connects u
(the Player) to billions of admirers who follow u passionately b’coz of the Joy u bring em everyday courtesy ur Talent. Each moment on d pitch gives u an opportunity to fill their memories wit great displays & Highlites, dat insuccession makes u a Legend. Dat is the spirit & Passion of the Sports- Leaving Legacies… Attaining the Legendary MARK!
Riches is the Reward of ur hardwork to being competitive and NOT d reward to being ameteurish & Softish.
Didier Drogba, ETO’o, Weah, Abedi n etc hav proven this… N Yaya Toure confirms it dat u can play at the Hightest Level and Still b the highest earner. The highest glory in the game is not how HAPPY u r…but how HAPPY ur Fans are b’coz of u.
U authomatically b’cam a Mentor to millions of Kids who want to b like u… and dat is the Spirit & d reason of the Game. That is why u hear Radamel Falcao say he molded his game watching FAUSTINO ASPRILLA – A Newcastle legend. 2day how many kids on the street of Ghana want to strike Like Gyan? All of em say they want to play like Messi, Ronaldo, Abedi, Appiah, Muntari and Shockingly Like Dede, kpb and Atsu who r very recent in the Game. Lets Think like MONARCHS not MAMMONS!
D-Light..i believe you can disagree with my comments without calling me a ‘looser who doesnt believe much in themselves hence have to go Low….’…obviously you must be a Winner and an Achiever who is so pleased with your own life, i wont begrudge you that…Its unfortunate when people cant stick to the footballing issues and have to enter the gutter to call people names…I haven’t insulted Baby Jet, have i?
In a footballing sense, i think he was at his peak when at the last WOrld Cup for Ghana, he was playing in a very competitive league, was much hungrier and even fitter..he looks heavier now, and i feel he’ll find it difficult if he faces more accomplished defenders ( still just my opinion )…in another breath, you make reference to the likes of Abedi, Eto, Weah and Abedi? I humbly say that i do not think Gyan has gotten to the level of any of these African icons…if you think he has, its also your opinion….for all you know, what i have achieved in my life already is what you still dream about….thats just kind food for thought for you D-Light before you call others names for just expressing an opinion..
@The Don, i’m not sure u read my comment well coz if u did, u’ll notice we all share the same sentiments regarding Gyans move to the UAE. The last sentence in ur 1st submition-
” Anyway make ur Money cos Life is short” speech- is wat most of his supporters do air on this site. They second his move comparing his situation to the past futballers of this country who r now church mouses on the streets Accra. This mentality is wat i was Bullshitting! Not ur
clever-intellectful comment.
I’m sorry if u feel offended. It wasn’t directed at u…but at those forumites who think the game is all abt Money! I must admit i misjudged u earlier, but ur second post awestruck me-I’m impressed. Pls do not conclude ur comments wit dat ‘life is short’ tag coz it defeats the whole idea. Once again i’m sorry!
D LIGHT. COMMOT FOR DERE. U ARE CONFUSED PAA. WHO TELLS U THE GAME IS ANOT ABOUT MONEY AND TROPHIES. ITS IS ABOUT MONEY AND TROPHIES MORE SO NOW TAHN EVER MORE. I PERSONALLY DONT LIKE GYAN PLAYING IN THE SAUDI LEAGUE, BUT LETS BE FRANK. HAD HE PLAYED IN A COMPETITIVE LEAGUE IN EUROPE. WOULD HE BE THIS PROLIFIC A GOAL SCORER IN EUROPE? PROLLY NOT. LIFE IS SHORT MY FRIEND. WAIT UNTIL UR PARENTS DOE AND U WILL SEE HOW TRUE THIS IS. HAVNT U HAD ANY CLOSE FREINDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS PERISH FOR NO REASON? HMM, DONT DICTATE TO LIFE. LIFE WILL DICTATE TO YOU.
GYAN SHOULD GET HIMSELF A FITNESS TRAINER AND LIFT SOME METAL. IT WILL HELP HIM SCORE MORE GOALS. RIGHT NOW, I THINK THE BEST GOAL SCORER IN THE SAUDI LEAGUE IS THE BRAZILIAN GRAPHITE. HE IS VERY PROLIFIC….
