The Boxing Promotions of Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan will be organizing its second bout at the end of this month in Ghana.

The Baba Jet Promotions’ flagship fighter Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe will square off against Filipino Ronald Pontilas for the vacant WBO Africa Junior Lightweight (a title Tagoe once held) and vacant WBA International Junior Lightweight titles on April 26.

It will be the first fight for Tagoe who won a three-year management contract with the Baba Jet Promotions in 2012 after beating local rival Geroge Ashie for the WBA International Lightweight title – a fight that pulled perhaps the largest boxing crowd in the history of Ghana boxing.

The boxing syndicate as part of its plans to get the young Ghanaian boxer in shape for a World Title fight is setting up another exiting bout with Tagoe facing a stern test in Filipino Ronald Pontilas.

The fight will take place at the Lebanon House on April 26 which will be beamed live on digital television across Africa and other parts of the world.

The Baby Jet Promotions is a brain-child of Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan as a way to use parts of his earnings to promote boxing which remains a less-financed sport in Ghana.

An official press conference will be called on Wednesday to announce the detailed arrangements for the fight which holds the prospect of gathering another impressive crowd.
