Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says the Black Stars must work on their porous defence if they are to contest for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The four-time continental champions conceded in every game played in the qualifying campaign which tallied seven goals.
Also, the teamââ¬â¢s backline was susceptible to set pieces and it was evident in the matches against Uganda, Togo and Guinea.
Ghana have not won the Nations Cup since 1982 and Gyan says they must solidify their rear in order to mount a challenge for the title.
ââ¬ÅIf you watch our past six games, we have been conceding through set pieces and sometimes we donââ¬â¢t clean sheets and that have been our problems and we will try and work on it,â⬠Gyan said.
ââ¬ÅAny opponent we play against even if we score more goals they score.ââ¬
Ghana will know their opponents for the tournament when the draw is held on 03 December in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
