Asamoah Gyan will arrive in Ghana on Friday to visit his family following the death of his mother this week.

The 26-year-old however will turn out for his club side Al Ain against Al Shabab on Thursday before he heads home to mourn with members of his family.

The former Sunderland is credited for his strong character and mental toughness – epitomizing his decision to play in Thursday’s Etislat Pro- League despite the death of his mother and mentor.

Gyan is also expected home to promote his boxing syndicate which will roll out their first international boxing bout on Saturday.

Former IBF Intercontinental and WBO Africa champion at Junior Lightweight, Emmanuel Tagoe (18-1,8 Kos) and reigning Commonwealth Junior Lightweight champions George Ashie (23-3-1, 16 Kos) clash for the WBA International Lightweight belt in the main event of the 6-bout of Gyan’s Baby Jet Promotions.
