Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan scored on Friday to cap another memorable season with Al Ain with a record, 31st goal in a single campaign.
The Black Stars captain converted an 89th minute penalty to seal a 2-1 win for the Boss in their final UAE Pro-League game of the season at home to Al Nasr.
Gyan has extended his own record of 31-goals in a single season in the UAE top flight.
This was after Al Ain had gone behind in just the 9th minute through Bruno Correa.
Cosmin Olariouââ¬â¢s side however hit back in the 68th minute through striker Jires Keembo-Ekoko before the Ghana captain delivered the win by slotting in a penalty with just one minute left to play.
Al Ain were officially presented with their top flight title after Fridayââ¬â¢s win before a packed partying crowd at the Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Stadium.
The former Sunderland hitman is in the best goalscoring form of his club career as he now sets a new record of the most goals scored in the UAE top flight this term.
He now turns his sights to crucial national team assignments in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers early next month where he will be leading the Black Stars in crucial games against Sudan and Lesotho.
