Asamoah Gyan has returned to Al Ain

Striker Asamoah Gyan has rejoined his club Al Ain after helping Ghana attain four points in their opening 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The 28-year-old arrived in Abu Dhabi in the early hours of Friday having left Accra on Thursday evening.

The Black Stars striker scored a crucial goal to help the side record a vital 3-2 win over Togo on Wednesday following their disappointing 1-1 draw with Uganda in their opening qualifier four days earlier.

The win over Togo sees Ghana climb to the top of Group E in the qualifiers alongside Uganda who are also on four points.

Gyan has now rejoined his club to prepare for the first leg of the epic semi final clash against Al Hilal in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday.

The in-form Ghana international is currently the tournament’s leading scorer with 12 goals and will be looking to further stretch his tally when Al Ain arrive in Riyadh on Tuesday to take on Al Hilal.
