Asamoah Gyan will return to training Al Ain on Friday ahead of the UAE –Pro-League match against Dubai.
The 27-year-old has arrived in the United Arab Emirates after reporting late due to flight conditions.
He is expected to return to to training on Friday to prepare for the visit of Dubai FC on Sunday.
The Pro-League champions have endured an unflattering start to the title defence after picking only three points from two games.
‘Gyan was having duties for his national team and he played a major role in his national team win over the Egyptian team in the qualifying matches for the world cup and his flight conditions obliged him to be late,” board member H.E. Mohd Obeid Hammad confirmed.
“However he is supposed to join the training today,”
Gyan scored a brace for the Black Stars in their 6-1 demolishing of Egypt in the World Cup play-off on Tuesday and will be expected to spearhead the side’s attack this weekend.
