Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan pulled the equalizer for Al Ain in their face-saving 1-1 draw at home to Al Sharjah.
The 28-year-old was on target again for the United Arab Emirates side as they fought from behind to pick a point in front of home fans at the Tahnoun Bin Mohamed Stadium.
The visitors went in front after only 11 minutes through Yousif Saeed Juma before the Black Stars skipper pulled level through the spot kick in the 27th minute.
The Ghanaian superstar is on his way of defending his goal scoring crown with another statement on Friday.
Gyan’s impressive scoring rate will serve as major boost to the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil
