Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan made an injury return for Al Ain in their 1-0 defreat to Al Ahli on the UAE Super Cup match played on Friday.
The 29-year-old who has been struggling with an ââ¬Ëinfectionââ¬â¢ came on as a late replacement for Ibrahim Diaky in the game played in Abu Dhabi.
Gyan lasted over 16 minutes as he felt his way back after a two-week injury layoff which sees him miss Ghanaââ¬â¢s double header friendlies against Senegal and Mali on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.
Zlatk0 Dalicââ¬â¢s side were however handed the defeat through an 86th minute strike by Saleem Khamis.
Al Ain eventually went a man down after Mohammed Abdulrahamn was sent off in injury time to ease their late surge for an equalizer.
