Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan is delighted with the team effort that helped in securing his first career league title after his UAE side Al Ain to win the league trophy.

The former Asian champions won the title on Friday night in grand style after beating defending champions Al Jazira 2-0 to win the title with three matches left.

The Ghana superstar who is the league’s leading scorer is happy with the team effort that landed them the title.

“We are so happy. The team has worked so hard for past 10 months and I am happy to be part of the team,” Gyan said.

“We have a very good coach with an incredible CV. I’ve no doubt we won because we worked so hard. We deserved this.”

Gyan has been a key part of Al Ain’s 10th UAE title, netting 17 goals during the term to be the league’s leading goalscorer.

Asamoah Gyan Congratulations for your hard work and keep it up.

  2. ricky says:

lazy ass. u onli wnt easy wins. u dun wanna challenge for bigger and harder venture i pity ur legacy. it would read ‘the guy who chickened out of the big tym to enjoy mediocracy’

  3. benny says:

GOOD ON YOU BABY JET.IT’S YOUR LIFE,DO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY.CONGRATS.

  4. Mieza says:

$ $ $ $ good name is better than riches. You have the chance to write your in the sand of gold but all you seek is $$$$. Shame. You were once my football idol. Not anymore. $$$ social climber.

    • Africanus says:

With money he can buy gold to write his name on, if that is your measure of success.

      • Mieza says:

That gold shall not last a generation. His brother Barfuor will sell it at the least opportunity knowing how they love $$. But the gold I talk about is what the likes of Suarez(I hate him though), CR7, Messi and the rest dream of and toil day and night to pursue. $ is not everything.

  5. Dee says:

And those who were criticising Gyan 4 diz move, do u thk he wud hv ever secured a leaque title wit the Black Cats. Am very happy 4 you Gyan, juz kip firing in de goals n emerge the top goal scorer coz that wud as well b a career high. Thumbs up gyan n cap off 2 Al Ain.

    • Africanus says:

Being at The Black Cats was the first step to moving onto bigger teams. But now that he descended down to UAE, teams like Chelsea or Manchester will not look at you let alone consider acquiring your services.

That is not to say Gyan made a wrong move. He is his own master and responsible for the outcome of his decisions.

  6. Dee says:

@Mieza how cn u use the cliché ‘a gud name is beta than riches’ so blindly. Who says Gyan has not got a good name n w@ mks u thk a gud name can only b carved whiles playin only in the epl, juz ask Balotelli n Joey Barton n i thk they wud say otherwise. And afterall, Gyan juz recently opened his own org. 2 cater 4 de needed, so w@ else shd the man do 4 him 2 obtain a gud name. Baby Jet all de way, but pls stay away 4rm black stars penalty kicks, abi u know dada.

  7. Raskoda jnr. Tema says:

Congrats baby jet,do well 2 win de goalking bravooo!

  8. Ansong says:

How can 1 consider himself a hero and play in Arabia? Wake up ppl.

  9. Joseph Sam says:

Mieza why u so jealous abt Babyjet? Is an obligatory 4 every player 2 play 4 his nation and also in England.Leave the boy alone cos he has the right to move 2 every team of his own choice.Babylons

    • Mieza says:

I tell you in sincerity that I’m not jealous of Gyan. In fact, I supported him when most people turned against him both in ACN 2008 and at the African mundial. He was marketing Ghana and Africa thru the globular leather. Once he gets to that level, he ceases to be his own man. Throughout ages, individuals emerge as heroes and when they do they become a blessing to the world. Other players could have also moved to earn even 10x what A$amoa is earning today.

  10. Chris opoku,SA. says:

Is part of your blessing more are coming on your way don’t mind those idiot dirty creatures. Keep it up

  11. selim says:

all u Gyan haters are notin more but enemies of progress nd are nt far 4rm those who pushed up 4 Jesus’s death.

    • mukmin says:

U probably the only one who thinks moving from epl to uae is progress let me give u this analogy it’s like going from being a president to being a minister. If u think that’s progress then good for u. Another analogy people run the the office of president not for money but prestige there are a lot of ceos make a ton of money but don’t have the respect, prestige and clout of the office. Mindless pursuit of money confirms that money is you idol( or god ) God gives and takes away be wise don’t gain the world and lose your soul.

  12. Blay says:

Gyan pls with all ur achievments, come 2 E.P.L and prove 2 the whole world that u were the goal king in Al Ain.

  13. JNR says:

Funnily enough this so-called success is not recognised in the footballing world, so enjoy it whiles it last.

Oh also for those who think just because we have different opinions to those supporting Gyan is hating then think again. It’s not hating, it’s being realistic.
