Asamoah Gyan has attributed Al Ain's shock 4-3 defeat at Al Dhafra in the Arabian Gulf League on Friday to loss of concentration.

Al Ain opened the scoring through Michel Bastos before they conceded three goals in the second half.

Gyan reduced the deficit and drew them level with two goals before compatriot Emmanuel Clottey secured victory for the home side.

"[The defeat] was just one of those things. I think we lost a bit of concentration and that cost us today," said Gyan.

"Sometimes we need to pay more attention, what else can I say. When we started to wake up a bit we did well. We need to work harder.

"We have good quality players who know how to wins games, so we need to just keep training hard.

"Hopefully, we'll have a new coach soon and then we need to adapt to his tactics."
