Kwadwo Asamoah has attributed his good form at Juventus to the rigorous training regiment in Italy.

The Ghana international who only joined the Serie-A champions at the start of the season has evolved into one of the key players of the side.

Asamoah has had to alter his style of play in order to fit into the system of manager Antonio Conte.

The 24-year-old has excelled in his new role as a wing back for the Bianconeri this season from his acclaimed central midfield role.

He has however credited his quick adaptation at Juventus to the intense training methods of the Italians.

“When I went there it wasn’t easy because I went there as a midfielder,” he told TV3.

“But now I play on the wings both forward and at the back.

“I think the training helped me a lot because we train a lot in Italy.”

Asamoah’s added versatility gives coach Akwasi Appiah another option on how he is to be used at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

He is already being considered by the Ghana trainer as as a real candidate to fill the problematic left-back position of the Black Stars.

It however remains to be seen if the best can be derived from the ex Udinese player in South Africa – one thing Ghana has failed quite miserably to achieve over the years.
